Tight and clean concept. Sand bar type of atmosphere with a Hawaiian vibe and menu. Think pork, spam options, pineapple, mango, rum drinks, etc. We simply had the pork sliders (think crispy edges like the perfect smash burger would have) and their hamburger with shoestring fries. Outdoor seating available with a water splash & jungle gym toys immediately outside. And reasonably priced!

Patiently waited to finally come here. Wasn’t sure how it was going to compete against others like it, but the drinks were incredibly good. The Mexican Mai Tai was an incredible take, utilizing core drink ingredients while substituting and adding flavors that made it perfect. Also the originals, Zombie and 3 Dots were phenomenal! The food was very very good we had Spam fried rice and kaluha pork Mac n cheese! I absolutely recommend this place!

My wife and I visited here on a Friday night - no wait, sat down outside on the patio. Friendly host and servers. Food was delicious, portions a bit smaller than anticipated, but everything tasted great and was served quickly. My wife had the Garlic shrimp and noodles, and I had the Kalua pork Mac and Cheese. Sides were the lettuce wraps and beef bulgogi egg rolls. 4 stars on atmosphere because the outdoor patio was nice, but it is located right next to the only play ground/park area in Park West so we had about 10 screaming children running around 5 feet from us during dinner. We love kids, but not as much other peoples' kids, especially when you're out alone on date night :) No fault to the restaurant, just simply a result of the location which people should be aware of. We will come back another time for cocktails, and we're looking forward to it. We'll probably still sit on the patio

⸻ Had an amazing experience at Tiki Star! I ordered the seared ahi tuna entree—perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. The whole place has a really cool concept and vibe—laid-back but elevated, with a tropical twist that feels like a hidden gem in the city. The service was top-notch, attentive without being overbearing. And for fellow bourbon lovers—they even had some hard-to-find allocated bottles behind the bar, which was a total bonus! Great food, great atmosphere, and a killer drink selection. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

We had a bit of difficulty finding Tiki Star, and then we had a bit of difficulty finding parking. As we walked up to the restaurant, we weren't sure where the front door was, as there was no signage or anything on or near the door. There's also a splash pad right outside the restaurant, and kids were playing on it, so we almost walked past it. However, a manager saw us and opened the door, waving us over. The atmosphere was different, in a good way. We started with the Kung Pao Cauliflower appetizer, which was incredible (we aren't huge cauliflower fans but really like Kung Pao chicken). The Katsu Sando was cooked perfectly and had some mild but delicious flavor combinations. The Kalua Pork Sliders had awesome flavorful combinations, although they were a bit messy as I ate them. The Samoa Cookie Cheesecake was a delicious ending to the meal. The only miss for us was the Zero Proof Mai Tais, but as we don't drink alcohol and usually go for water or an occasional soda or fruity drink, we can't really speak to how they would taste compared to the real thing. The presentation was fun, though.

The sampler platter was good with a variety of items. Drinks were hit and miss. The Mai Tai wasn't great but the others were good.

It was such a fun place to enjoy some amazing food and awesome drinks! The decor is in point, and it makes you feel like you're in the tropics. Drinks were great! Cute fun glasses they are served in. It brings such a tropical vibe to your table. We started out with Loco Moco Fries! Excellent, you can not go wrong with this dish! Fries, egg, and hamburger with gravy! Way to start off with a bang! I ordered the pineapple burger. 2 juicy patties with grilled pineapple and the tonkatsu sauce really sets it off. This is a must order! He ordered jerk chicken sandwich. For someone who isn't a fan of onions, he sure did enjoy this dish! He said the chicken was juicy and tender, and the pineapple relish really added a nice twist! Our server was Jenelle, shes fun and very informative on items on the menu. 5 stars all around. Want a cute little joint to feel like you're on an island, be such to check this place out. Won't be disappointed! Update ... went again to try out more dishes and drinks! Omg, this was even better than the first. The cheese steak, order it! Spam fried rice is also great. Love the special drink specials. Don't skip out!

Had the pot stickers and Mahi tacos along with the halo halo, cactus cooler, and bangarang for drinks. No complaints with any of it. Drinks were amazing in fun glassware and food was tasty. The ambiance was perfect as well. A must try if you're in the area.
